Areas of application of solar termal systems

Use and function in the heating of potable water
The workings of evacuated-tube collectors and flat-plate collectors in the heating of potable water are identical.  In the case of  solar heating systems this involves a simple principle that allows for easy integration into existing warm water systems.

Solar collectors absorb solar radiation, change it into heat, and exchange that heat with a heat carrier medium. This is pumped via a tube system to the solar system, heats the water, and is then conveyed via the upper heat exchanger to the potable water. The cooled-off water then flows back to the collectors. The solar regulator monitors the flow of heat and the existing heating system can support when needed.
Use and function as backup heating
Also when used as backup heating the functionality of the evacuated tube collectors is identical. Heating systems can be easily combined with solar heating systems as they follow a simple, easy-to-integrate principle.
A system that uses solar heat for backup heating follows the same principle as when using a solar system for the heating potable water. However more collector surface and a different, bigger, so-called solar combi-system is required.

This system is a combi-buffer system with an additional integrated stainless-steel system. In the inner stainless steel container we find the potable water, the outer area of the combi-buffer system contains the water for heating. The solar system will first warm the water for heating. Once the water for heating is warm, the potable water is heated to the required temperature via the large surface of the stainless steel container. Otherwise the functionality is identical.

Whether it concerns old buildings or new builds, slanting roofs or flat roofs, backup heating or heating of potable water: we have the right system concept for you. With our systems you also get the largest possible flexibility and a maximum yield: depending on size of the system you will be able to cover 50 to 60 percent of your warm water requirements.
